Crossbow is a wonderfull but complex network architecture that hardly bears any resemblence to the network stack found in previous Solaris relases.
Whilst studying Crossbow I created an architectural overview that includes most,- but not all-, network configurations found in Crossbow. A simular drawing should be provided by Oracle but despite the impressive Oracle documentation on Solaris,- a huge step forward from the Sun days-, I never came across it.
I hope my drawing helps comming to grips with Crossbow since..
